Pine Plains real estate market sees four home sales in January

PINE PLAINS — During the first month of this year five property transfers were recorded in Pine Plains including four small residential properties for $250,000 or less.

Of the nine single family homes listed for sale in the first week of March three were above one million dollars and only two at $389,000 and $365,000 were close to the February median price of $362,500 for the town.

54 Briarcliff Lane — 3 bedroom/1 bath on .54 acres sold for $250,000.

9 Academy Lane — 2 bedroom/1 bath home on .11 acres sold for $100,000.

3362 Route 199 — 3 bedroom/2 bath ranch on 8.68 acres sold for $250,000.

7794 North Main — 2 bedroom/2 bath/2 kitchen Cape Cod two family home on .24 acres sold for $125,000.

5 Ryan Road — storage facility with 2,341 square feet on 1 acre sold for $250,000 to Superior Sanitation Holding.

A statewide burn ban is in effect as of Thursday, Oct. 2, the New York State Governor's office announced in a press release.

The temporary ban is in effect until at least Oct. 15, and the statement released by the governor's office said the restrictions will be re-evaluated prior to the Oct. 15 deadline.

STANFORD — Greg Arent led a devoted team of volunteers on Sunday, Sept. 28, in a final push to prepare Stanford’s Haunted Fortress for opening day.

Final touches included cleaning the bottomless pit, scrubbing the pirate ship, raking the graveyard and dressing the dolls. By 2 p.m., about 20 volunteers had assembled to creepify the beloved local landmark.
