Police searching for Bank of Millbrook theft suspect

PINE PLAINS —  Police in the Hudson Valley are looking for a woman who stole more than $300 dollars from the Bank of Millbrook.

“The individual is alleged to have used a sleight-of-hand technique during a transaction with a bank teller to steal $350,” said state police of the Rhinebeck barracks.

As of press time, there are no specifics of the technique used by the woman during the transaction.

Sleight-of-hand is often used by magicians use to deceive audiences to their advantage. This can be by using either false cuts, palming cards, double turnovers, false shuffling and other card tricks.
