Amenia Library wins 'Battle of the Books'

Director of the Amenia Free Library Victoria Herow and Alan Gamble celebrate their team’s initial victory in the annual Battle of the Books competition between Amenia and the NorthEast-Millerton Library at the Undermountain Golf Course in Copake on Saturday, July 27. Amenia’s best three scores combined to 88 besting Millerton’s 91. Jeff Harvey Sr. and Jr. for Millerton and Peyton and Kevin Dunlop for Amenia tied with 27 for the men’s scramble title with John and Julia O’Connell of Millerton taking the mixed doubles.
