Supper club success

Organizer Lenny Sutton, standing right, led a group of 22 happy diners gathered in the NorthEast-Millerton Library Annex at 28 Century Blvd. Wednesday, Jan 17, for the inaugural meeting of the Supper Club, which featured soups, stews and chowders. Originally planned for every other month, it was such a success that diners asked to change to monthly meetings. Sutton led the group as they determined that the next potluck meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Annex and center on “Veggie Delights” supplied by attendees.

The students learned about the destructive impact of invasives as they trudged — often bent over — across wet ground on the semblance of a trail, led by Tom Zetterstrom, a North Canaan tree preservationist and member of the Sharon Land Trust.
