Recent property sales in the Town of Washington and Village of Millbrook

The Millerton News will periodically publish a listing of residential real estate sales in eastern Dutchess County and adjacent towns.

Similar to the Town of Stanford’s summer recorded sales, recorded real estate sales in August of homes in the Town of Washington and the Village of Millbrook were all less than $500,000. Currently only two homes are listed for sale in Millbrook, both over $700,000. Of the 20 houses listed for sale in the Town of Washington, 15 were over $1 million.

10 Christian Hill Road, 4-bed/2.5-bath home on 5.85 acres, sold for $457,000

MILLERTON – John Roccanova developed a passion for craftsmanship in 1960s Brooklyn, where he spent childhood summers tagging along with his father to work at one of the countless woodworking factories that lined the waterfront and industrial side streets.

“Sometimes you’d be drilling four thousand pieces of wood over the course of a few days,” Roccanova recalled of his factory days, where he made display cases for department stores. “I got to see how things were made, and I got comfortable with the equipment.”
