From left, the Rev. Thomas Fiet, pastor of Lyall Memorial Church, and Daniel Michael Koch,  music director, in front of the Millbrook Community Festival Choir at a concert on Sunday, May 14, at Lyall Memorial Church. The choir,  composed of 27 singers and accompanied by a piano and a trumpet, performed ‘Evening Songs,’ interspersed with six various readings.

For many years, Lyall Church has hosted musical events, which came to a halt with the onset of COVID-19. However, the choir was back for the Christmas concert in December 2022. The ‘Evening Songs’ concert was its second comeback appearance. There were probably close to 75 or more in the audience, and after the concert, refreshments were served and fellowship was encouraged. The concert was free, but a collection was taken, and donations were greatly appreciated.
