For this year’s annual Kids’ Fishing Derby, the Amenia Lions Club welcomed 37 children and their families to Vinchiarello Pond off Mygatt Road in Amenia at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 11. Right, to the amazement of his family, friends and the some Lions Club members, Jacob Dean, 9, hooked a 15-inch bass at this year’s derby, which was highly anticipated after last year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Millerton's holiday decoration contest still open to competitors

MILLERTON — The Village of Millerton is inviting residents and businesses to enter its annual house decorating contest, with judging now underway through Dec. 28.

Awards will be presented in several categories, including Best Lights, Most Creative, Best Overall and Best Commercial Front.
