POUGHKEEPSIE — The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) has announced that as of Saturday, March 18, its officers are wearing body cameras.
Made by Axon, the cameras capture both audio and video, and are worn by deputies when they are responding to incidents or acting in an official capacity. Sheriff’s Office personnel have received training on the use of the devices, which are part of the Dutchess County Police Reform and Modernization Plan as outlined by DCSO in 2021.
