The first step in making moon sand is measuring cups of flour. Youngsters enthusiastically participated in the Millbrook Library’s moon sand crafting session on Wednesday, Sept. 11. They would go on to stir in baby or mineral oil in a ratio of 8:1 (flour to oil), creating the right consistency for molding into terraced Latin-American pyramids or any other desired shape. The session was one of a series of after-school arts and crafts sessions led by Kate Anderson, Children’s Litaracy Coordinator.
